I have my Samsung N120 netbook for about three weeks, and is a wonderful machine. Yes, the touchpad is not the best but I use a mouse (a mouse you can travel for very little) and is therefore easy to disable (or) the touchpad, so both are not working at the same time. The keyboard is nice, the sound is beautiful, the screen is beautiful - I'm not beautiful and wonderful, because the use of a desktop PC at home, but how can a 10 "screen than a 23" monitor - you can not . Brightness of the screen out so-so, but still useful to say, in a car (if you're not the driver of course). Take an optional DVD player / writer for about $ 70. There are ways that you can install CD / DVD-based software without a DVD player, but not easy. And the screen is strong enough to enjoy a DVD movie on the road. The only problem I had is that the partition C and D drive almost identical, although usually the most space on drive C would be. When first supposed the possibility of re-partition your disks, but I can not remember coming up and certainly would have wanted to do, so be careful when you start first. It comes with useful software for battery management, backup and other utilities, has developed a very useless software that tries to sell all software and web-option under the sun - so that is great. Battery life seems to approach 7-8 hours (I did not run away yet) at full load. All in all, about what you want in a small, lightweight package. Want to take over the world.
